====== Accessing sequencing service at EMBL GeneCore facility ====== === Website === * General website for information: https://www.embl.org/groups/genomics/ * Website for data download: https://faspex.embl.de/aspera/faspex === Create accounts === We already had a group account created with GeneCore * The group ID for our group is: R4fsRG84i * Type of our group: EMBL Member State Institution To use the service, one needs to register an account for oneself, under our group account * Contact solexateam@embl.de or genecore@embl.de for account registration === Sample submission === * Fill up the sample submission form and send it to GeneCore by email: https://www.embl.org/groups/genomics/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/GeneCoreSampleSubmissionForm2023.xlsx * Ask GeneCore for the required concentration and volumes for a specific sequencing platform * Provide the Fragment Analyzer trace profiles of the libraries together with the sample submission form. * Talk to Julia/Celine to arrange the sample pickup via a bike delivery service (> 24h in advance). === Data download === * Once your data becomes available, you will get notified by email and the data can be downloaded on https://faspex.embl.de/aspera/faspex * Follow the website instructions for installing Aspera Connect (a browser plugin) for downloading. * Whether it is possible to directly download the data to sds? Haven't figured it out yet (but looking forward to a update) === Data storage === * Currently sequencing runs from EMBL gene core facility are stored in sds /mnt/sds-hd/sd17d003/GeneCore
