====== Copying sequencing data ======

===== Gerda =====

**Currently, remote data transfer is not possible.**

  * When the sequencing is complete, go to BZH (INF328) and take a >40Gb free capacity USB stick or drive
  * Facing the machine, on the left side is the USB connector, start the copying by draggin and dropping
  * After ~30min retrieve the USB.
  * Upload the data to the ''NextSeq'' folder on the [[servers:sds|SDS]] (this is the backed-up data storage for all raw data) using your computer.
  * Announce the completed sequencing run on Slack

**Soon™** the data on the sequencing server that is connected to Gerda will be available on the exp share.
